I loved this Mexican place, I travel lot to this state for work and I would say is one of the top Mexican restaurant food I’ve visit here. The food was really fresh. I ordered a taco vegetarian salad and all the vegetables were cooked correctly and it was really enjoyable the taste. Specially the cucumber and mushrooms just simply great combination of flavors. Im also vegetarian and I loved this placed had a menu with vegetarian dishes.The staff was really friendly and took great care of us as well as the owner super friendly and professional. Definitely coming back on my next trip. Highly recommend it!

i live about 25 minutes away from this wonderful little restaurant, yet it has slowly made its way into a bi weekly routine for me (not literally of course but one may desire). the queso is incomparable to any other establishment! the carne asada tacos are a favorite of mine, and it is the perfect amount of food for such a splendid price. the staff are kind and welcoming and the interior is so casual and cozy. always clean, always fresh, and always fast, el tejocote is sure to last.

This place was great! I had dined in before but got take out to test consistency and both the staff and food are still worth every bit of 5 stars. The food is of course hot and fresh, the salsa was fantastic with the right amount of heat and flavor, and the wait time was minimal. Would definitely recommend trying this place out

Everything we had was great. The people working went above and beyond to make sure everything was okay. I moved to the area over 20 years ago from the Denver area and this was one of only a few Mexican restaurants that compared with the best of that area. The only complaint I have is that I wish it was located in Holly Springs.
